The Red Lion in Cricklade

The Red Lion in Cricklade is an award winning pub in the village of Cricklade in Wiltshire, just north of Swindon. We are please to announce that we are working with them supplying British rare breed lamb for their kitchen. Our rich fully flavoured Portland and Castlemilk Moorit lamb will be appearing on their menus at certain times of year.

The pub is situated just off the Thames path as it passes through historic Cricklade and dates back to the early 1600s; there are still many historic features that create the perfect British pub atmosphere.

Not only does the Red Lion have that traditional British pub feel but they also have a very popular restaurant and accommodation for those who want to say in a local pub just off the Thames path. Over the years the pub has developed it's own microbrewery producing Hop Kettle beers which have gone from strength to strength.

They boast a number of awards including:

  • OpenTable Diners Choice 2015
  • OpenTable Diners Choice 2014
  • British Pub of the Year 2013 (BT Sport Awards hosted by the Morning Advertiser)
  • Best British Freehouse 2013 (BT Sport Awards hosted by the Morning Advertiser)

  • Runner up Freehouse of the Year 2011 (Morning Advertiser)
